Privacy-sensitive data is processed through YUN’s websites www.yun.be and www.yun.nl. This data is referred to as personal data. YUN collects and processes this Personal Data, which is provided by the visitor/customer upon entering into a contract, granting consent, or asserting a legitimate interest.

Providing this Personal Information for the purpose of a purchase is mandatory and a necessary condition for entering into a contract with YUN. If this information is not provided, YUN may not be able to fulfill the obligations we have under your agreement, or we may not be able to properly enable you to fulfill your own obligations.

Retention Periods

Your data will be retained for up to seven years after you make a purchase for analytical and commercial purposes, such as suggestions for repeat purchases.

Disclosure to Third Parties

In certain cases, YUN may share personal data with third parties if necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth in this Privacy Statement.

Purchase Agreement:

• Mail-order company, for the delivery of your order;
• The website’s hosting provider, including the developer;
• Payment provider, responsible for processing payments and refunds;
• ReviewPartner, for inviting customers to review the product they purchased.

Furthermore, we will not disclose the information you provide to third parties without your consent, unless we are legally required or permitted to do so. For example, the police may request information from us as part of a fraud investigation. In that case, we are legally required to provide that information.

As a general rule, YUN does not transfer Personal Data to countries outside the European Economic Area or to international organizations, unless this is necessary for the performance of the purchase agreement. Should this occur for other reasons, YUN will determine whether an adequacy decision exists within the meaning of the applicable regulations, and if no such decision exists, Personal Data will only be transferred if appropriate or suitable safeguards are in place. Newsletter

If you have given your consent, we may send you our newsletter via email. Every email we send will include an option to unsubscribe if you are no longer interested in our newsletter. You can also contact our customer service to unsubscribe.

Profiling

We combine your personal data from various sources to provide you with the best online shopping experience. We do this by linking various pieces of information about you, such as your account details, your purchase history, and your browsing behavior on our website across different devices, including your computer, smartphone, or tablet. We may also supplement or optimize your data with information from public sources, such as the land registry, or from sources for which you have given your consent for the use intended by YUN. We do this only when permitted by law.

YUN uses certified SSL connections (the Secure Socket Layer protocol) for its website during the ordering process and for all contact forms.
